About Us: Core Values |
|
God-glorifying We believe that our chief purpose is to glorify God and enjoy Him forever; this is also the chief purpose of the church. Therefore we seek to pursue the glory of God in all that we do as our ultimate goal and purpose. We want to be ‘God-centered’ in all that we do and in all areas of church life. We want to grow in our knowledge and love of God and find Him to be the greatest joy and delight of our lives. Bible-Believing We believe that God not only exists but that He has spoken to us, He has made Himself known, because of this it is possible for us to enter into relationship with Him. We accept the Bible as the inspired, infallible Word of God, it is therefore our authority in all matters of faith and conduct. Furthermore, this means that we want to reflect and implement biblical priorities in our life together as a church and in our mission as a church. We are committed to expository preaching of God’s Word as the foundation upon which the church is to be built up and equipped by God for works of service. Our ‘theological identity’ is that we are an evangelical Anglican church.

Gospel-centered We believe that the Gospel, the Good News of Jesus Christ, is the power of God for the salvation of all who believe. Thus it is the gospel, through the power of the Holy Spirit that both converts people and enables people to grow in their faith. It is through the spread of the gospel that we are turned from those who are separated from God to beloved children who delight in God. Therefore this entails a commitment to evangelism and discipleship…….. Evangelism The mission of the church is to go and make disciples of all people. Our mission field begins here in Duffield but is to reach out to the ends of the earth. The gospel message never changes but we must be constantly seeking to communicate it in new, fresh and different ways to different people and groups. Discipleship We are committed to seeing people grow into maturity in Christ. Heart and life transformation, as opposed to mere moral reformation is accomplished through the gospel of grace.
